Alan Schwalberg

Alan Schwalberg is the Vice President of the Center for Emergency Medical Services at Northwell Health. In this role, they oversee one of the largest hospital-based emergency medical services operations on the East Coast, managing over 125 EMS vehicles and a team of more than 800 personnel. Their responsibilities encompass strategic planning, finance, and business development, with operations responding to over 150,000 requests and transporting over 118,000 patients in 2018. Prior to this position, Schwalberg served as Operations Manager, EMT, and Paramedic at North Shore LIJ Health System from 1996 to 2004, and then as Director of Emergency Medical Services from 2004 to 2009.
