Samuel Packer is currently an MD at North Shore-LIJ Health System, where they have served since 1972, holding the position of Chair of Medical Ethics. From 1973 to 1997, Samuel conducted research on radiation therapy of ocular melanoma at Brookhaven National Laboratory. Samuel earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine between 1964 and 1966, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from New York University from 1960 to 1962.
