Vincent Grippo leads all real estate and facilities functions within Northwell's Enterprise Services Department. He also is responsible for Northwell Health's shared services administration, change management and the project management office.
Mr. Grippo came to Northwell in 2022 after a 20-year career working for the City of New York in various capacities, including managing budget, facilities, technology, procurement, strategic planning, project management and human resources.
He worked with the New York City Police Department (NYPD) for nine years, during which time Mr. Grippo served as deputy commissioner of management and budget, overseeing the NYPD's $5 billion budget and 240 police facilities. His tenure included the launch of a comprehensive program to renovate and restore NYPD precincts and the acquisition of more than $300 million in safety equipment to improve officer safety and enhance police response. He went on to serve as chief of staff and led the department’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Grippo also worked with the New York City Department of Buildings; served as chief of staff to the city's chief information officer during the expansion of the 3-1-1 system and helped revamp the city’s 9-1-1 system. Mr. Grippo also was instrumental in managing budget reduction exercises while maintaining critical services during the 2008 recession and spearheaded an effort to centralize city data centers to reduce maintenance expenses while modernizing and improving overall performance.
