Professional Development Specialist at NCCE (Northwest Council for Computer Education)

Kathy Dorr is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in developing and delivering professional development programs for educators. Currently serving as a Professional Development Specialist at the Northwest Council for Computer Education since 2009, Kathy focuses on incorporating Library of Congress resources, STEM curriculum, and technology integration into workshops. Additionally, Kathy has been involved with Honorworks since November 2010, crafting a social justice curriculum funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Previous roles include board membership at Burlington Little School and adjunct faculty positions at Western Washington University, specializing in Elementary Education and Instructional Technology. Kathy has also served as Assistant Director of Technology at Northwest ESD 189, where responsibilities included developing technology integration training and overseeing grant programs. Kathy Dorr's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from City University of Seattle and a Bachelor of Education in Social Studies and Political Science from Western Washington University.
