Alex Kufner is an Emergency Medical Technician at NorthWest EMS since January 2023 and has been serving as an Undergraduate Researcher at UPMC since January 2022, focusing on the role of NOX proteins and reactive oxygen species in vascular health. Previous experience includes working as a Dietary Assistant at Elizabeth Scott Community, where food preparation and resident assistance were key responsibilities, and as an Assistant Tennis Coach under Matt McEwen, promoting a positive and enthusiastic environment for athletes. Additionally, Alex has landscaping experience with G-Force. Alex is pursuing a degree in Microbiology and Anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh, with minors in Chemistry and Philosophy, and holds an EMT Certification from the Four County Career Center. Educational background includes a high school diploma from St. John's Jesuit High School & Academy.
