Jennifer Miranda has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Jennifer started their career as a Nurse Manager at Benedictine Hospital in 1996 and worked there until 2000. Jennifer then joined Tucson Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from 2000 to 2002. In 2005, they joined Northwest Medical Center as the Director of Staff Development, and later became the interim Director of Telemetry and Acute Care Telemetry from 2014 to 2015. Jennifer's most recent role was at The Queen's Medical Center, where they served as the Telemetry Nurse Manager from 2015 to 2016. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the operations of a 40-bed step-down telemetry unit and managing a team of 96 FTEs. Jennifer played a key role in implementing various initiatives such as a multi-disciplinary team to address newly diagnosed heart failure and stroke patients, a new on-boarding process, and the introduction of shared governance and unit-based councils. Jennifer is currently working as the Unit Director at the University of California, San Francisco.
Jennifer Miranda earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance, General from Colorado Technical University. Jennifer attended the university from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nursing from SUNY New Paltz between 1997 and 1999.
