Ameer Alwafai

Ameer AlWafai currently serves as a Neuro hospitalist at Northwest Neurology, Ltd. since July 2019 and also holds a position in Telestroke at Adjacent Health since January 2023. Prior experience includes a role in Telestroke at Teladoc Health from August 2021 to December 2022, and serving as an Intensivist at Advocate Health Care from July 2017 to July 2019. Ameer has also worked as a Neurointensivist at Edward Hospital from July 2016 to July 2017 and completed a Neurocritical care Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center from July 2014 to June 2016. Medical training includes a Neurology Residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center from July 2010 to June 2014 and a position as a Research Scholar at the University of Florida from October 2009 to June 2010. Ameer AlWafai obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Medicine from Beirut Arab University, graduating in 2009.
