Victoria Warren-Mears

Director, Tribal Epidemiology Center at Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board

Victoria Warren-Mears, PhD, RDN, FAND, is the Director of the Tribal Epidemiology Center at the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board, a position held since July 2006, where management includes overseeing over 55 public health professionals and an annual budget of approximately $20 million. Prior academic experience includes serving as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Portland from January 2014 to June 2016, teaching nutrition and diet therapy to undergraduate nursing students. Additional positions include Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Oregon Health and Science University, Ambulatory Care Dietitian at Harborview Medical Center, and WIC Nutritionist at Thurston County Health Department. Academic qualifications consist of a PhD in Interdisciplinary Program in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Washington, a Certificate in Human Investigations from Oregon Health and Science University, and BS and MS degrees in Home Economics (dietetics) from Washington State University.
