Bill Edmonds has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. In their most recent role as Executive Director at the Northwest Power and Conservation Council, they have been responsible for leading and managing the organization. Prior to this, they held the position of Director, Environmental Policy & Sustainability at NW Natural for fourteen years, where they were involved in shaping environmental policies. Bill also served as a Board Member at the Community Cycling Center and PECI, contributing to the strategic direction of these organizations. In addition, they held leadership positions at the Oregon Business Association, Earth Advantage, and the Oregon Environmental Council, where they actively contributed to environmental and economic development efforts. Earlier in their career, Bill worked at PacifiCorp as the Director of Environmental Policy, leading initiatives to develop and implement clean-up strategies and mobilizing key stakeholders. Bill also served as a Board Member and Chair at The Climate Trust. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Public Utility Analyst at the California Public Utilities Commission, where they led projects related to environmental impact assessment and clean fueled vehicles.
Bill Edmonds graduated from Williams College in 1984 with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies. Afterward, they attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1987 to 1989 and obtained a Master's degree in Public Policy.
