Catherine Awwad

Catherine Awwad is the President and CEO of the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board, a position held since January 2001, where oversight of operations and strategic planning aims to build a strong workforce in Northwest Connecticut. Awwad manages a team of 15 and a $12 million budget while ensuring regulatory compliance. Additionally, Awwad serves as a member of Chief since October 2021, a network dedicated to empowering senior women leaders. Furthermore, Awwad holds various board roles, including with the Connecticut Counseling Centers, which provides vital mental health and substance abuse services. Prior experience includes working as a pharmacist at CVS Pharmacy from June 2006 to June 2017, where responsibilities included prescription management and customer advising. Awwad earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
