Megan Gawlik is currently a Program Leader at Northwest Special Recreation Association and a Middle School Teacher at Archdiocese of Chicago. Before that, Megan has held various managerial roles at Epic Air Trampoline Park and Under the Big Top, Inc. Megan also has experience as a Senior Ambassador at International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and Political Science from DePaul University, as well as certificates in Coaching and Mentoring from National Louis University and Learning Behavior Specialist from Roosevelt University.

NWSRA exists to provide outstanding opportunities through recreation for children and adults with disabilities. NWSRA strives for each participant to function at his/her highest level of ability. Benefits of participation include increased socialization and community awareness, development of new leisure skills, increased physical and emotional well being, and increased self esteem, all in a fun, safe and structured recreation environment. 17 park districts that are served through NWSRA include: Arlington Heights, Bartlett, Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Mt. Prospect, Palatine, Prospect Heights, River Trails, Rolling Meadows, Salt Creek, Schaumburg, South Barrington, Streamwood and Wheeling.
