Steve Kludt

Steve Kludt has extensive work experience in data and analytics roles. Steve is currently working as the Director of Data & Analytics at NorthWestern Energy since May 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Manager of Data & Analytics at the same company from January 2021 to May 2022. Steve also worked as a Data Analytics Consultant at NorthWestern Energy from January 2020 to January 2021.

Before joining NorthWestern Energy, Steve Kludt co-founded Canvass Analytics in 2016 and served as the Chief Technology Officer. In this role, they were responsible for establishing the vision and technical strategy for an AI-based platform. Steve led multiple teams and developed data analytics pipelines.

Steve's earlier work experience includes a role as a Technical Business Analyst at NorthWestern Energy from 2014 to 2017. Steve was responsible for creating Big Data Architecture and Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery strategies. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Technical Product Manager at CHR Solutions from 2009 to 2014, where they made strategic business decisions and engaged clients for feedback. Steve also served as a Project Manager and Technical Lead at CHR Solutions from 2003 to 2009.

Steve Kludt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Dakota State University, graduating in 2002. Steve then pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Systems with a concentration in Data Management at the same university, completing it in 2008. Alongside their formal education, Steve has obtained various certifications, including the Executive Data Science Specialization from Coursera in 2020, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) from Microsoft in 2013, Pragmatic Marketing Certified Product Manager from Pragmatic Institute in 2012, and Business Process Framework Certification from TM Forum in 2011.
