Gregory J. Brophey

Gregory J. Brophey, MD, FACS, is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in the field of surgery and ophthalmology. Currently serving as an Attending Physician and Executive Medical Director of Physician Services at Northwestern Medical Center since April 2008, Brophey also holds the position of Chair of the Department of Surgery. With a role as an Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology from December 2013 to February 2025, Brophey previously worked as an Attending Physician at Kaiser Permanente and held multiple roles, including Chief Resident and Resident Physician in Ophthalmology, at Summa Health System. Brophey earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from The University of Toledo College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Kent State University.
