Karen Staniels

Karen Staniels, PT, MHA, CMPE has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Karen most recently worked at Northwestern Medical Center as the Director of Business Operations for Medical Clinics. Prior to that, they held roles such as Manager of Quality and Analytics, Director of the Orthopaedic Rehab Service Line, Occupational Health and Lifestyle Medicine, and Manager of Rehabilitation Services at the same institution. Earlier in their career, Karen served as the Director of Rehabilitation Services at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation. Karen also worked at Albany Medical Center as the Business Manager for Cardiac Services and a Reporting Analyst for Quality Management. Karen's experience also includes a role as Director of Data Management at Vermont Managed Care. Karen began their career at Fletcher Allen Healthcare as a Director and Physical Therapist, and at Fanny Allen Hospital as the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Karen started their career at St. Michael's College as a Physical Therapist in the Training Room.

Karen Staniels received their Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont, where they studied from 1977 to 1981. Karen later pursued a Master of Healthcare Administration degree at Champlain College, completing it in 2018. In addition to their education, Karen has obtained the certification of Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) from the MGMA and is a certified Physical therapist according to the Secretary of State Vermont.
