Grace Barajas, MHA, M(ASCP)CM, CIC, FAPIC, currently serves as the Program Director of Epidemiology and Infection Prevention for the Central Region at Northwestern Medicine, a position held since April 2014. Barajas has extensive experience in infection prevention, having previously worked as a Clinical Coordinator and Infection Preventionist at Northwestern Medicine, and as Supervisor of Microbiology/Molecular Microbiology at the Veterans Affairs Hospital. With a background that includes roles as a Senior Technologist and Microbiologist at Northwestern Medicine, as well as a Research Scientist at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, Barajas has developed a strong foundation in microbiology and molecular epidemiology. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University Chicago.
