Chris M. Bott is currently a board member at Northwestern Michigan College. Chris previously served as the executive director of Cincinnati's School for Creative & Performing Arts (SCPA) from July 2015 to December 2019. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the school's operations and ensuring its academic excellence.
Under their leadership, the SCPA achieved impressive results, including a 100% graduation rate for four consecutive years, with 90% of graduates matriculating to college. The Class of 2019 earned more than $13 million in college aid. In 2018, the Arts School's Network (the national association for arts schools) awarded SCPA their highest level of ‘accrediting’, the ‘Exemplary School’ designation, further legitimizing the Leadership Team’s turnaround. SCPA also earned the ASN's 'Innovation Award' in 2019.
Chris is a dedicated educator with a passion for the arts. Chris is committed to ensuring that all students have access to quality arts education and training. Chris is an experienced leader with a proven track record of success in improving educational outcomes for students.
Dr. Chris M. Bott is an Educational Specialist in Human Resource Development with an Executive Leadership focus from The George Washington University. Chris also holds a MA in Management from Antioch University Midwest and a BA in Geology from The Ohio State University.

Northwestern Michigan College is a publicly funded community college that serves more than 50,000 learners annually throughout the Grand Traverse region and beyond. NMC offers associate’s degrees and professional certificates, and bachelor's degrees through the Great Lakes Maritime Academy and Great Lakes Freshwater Studies Institute. Eight partner universities grant baccalaureate, graduate and doctoral degrees through the NMC University Center. NMC's Extended Education program offers a wide array of non-credit classes to more than 10,000 local residents annually.
