Oritse Justin Uku

Oritse Justin Uku, CISSP, currently serves as the Vice President, Business Information Security Officer, and IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance at Northwestern Mutual, providing strategic cybersecurity and IT risk guidance. In addition, Oritse is a member of the Forbes Technology Council and the Editor-in-Chief of the Becoming Cyber Newsletter, focusing on career transitions into cybersecurity. Prior experience includes senior leadership roles at Citi, where Oritse managed the Cyber Security Fusion Center and led incident response operations in North America. Oritse's career in military intelligence as a Captain in the US Army included leading operations during Operation Enduring Freedom, for which Oritse was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. Educational credentials include a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and an MBA from Boston College.
