Elizabeth Teng

Elizabeth Teng is a Data Science Consultant at Northwestern University since September 2020, specializing in machine learning and data science for diverse research projects. Teng has coached researchers across multiple disciplines, enhancing their ability to tackle complex research challenges. Previously, Teng served as a Graduate Research Assistant, contributing to a widely cited astrophysical simulation's codebase and establishing a continuous integration process. Prior experience includes working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, where a predictive surrogate model was developed, and aiding in statistical comparisons of astronomical data at Haverford College. Teng holds a PhD and MS in Astronomy from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Astronomy from Haverford College.
