Nina Wieda is an accomplished academic with a focus on Slavic languages, literatures, and linguistics. Currently serving as the Interim Director of Chicago Field Studies and Associate Professor of Instruction at Northwestern University since September 2016, Nina has also held roles as Assistant Professor of Instruction and Lecturer at the institution. Prior experience includes a position as Assistant Professor at Middlebury College from July 2012 to December 2014, and earlier teaching roles at Northwestern University from 2009 to 2012. Additionally, Nina participated as a committee member for the One Book, One Northwestern initiative. Educational credentials include a PhD from Northwestern University (2003-2007) and an MA in Nationalism Studies from Central European University (2002-2003). Nina further developed leadership skills through the Emerging Leaders Program at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs (2019-2020).
