Craig Johnson

Vice President Operations at Norton Healthcare

Craig Johnson has extensive work experience in healthcare operations and management. Craig started their career in 2002 at Norton Healthcare, where they worked as a Transportation Care Associate and later as a Staffing Coordinator. From 2006 to 2008, they worked at St. Joseph Hospital as a Collection Specialist. In 2006, they also had an Administrative Internship at Kosair Children's Hospital.

Johnson then joined Duke University Hospital in 2008, initially as an Administrative Fellow and later as an Administrative Manager in Oncology. From 2010 to 2011, they worked at Duke Cancer Institute as an Administrative Director in Access. In 2012, they moved to Duke University Health System, where they served as an Associate Director in Access Operations, responsible for strategic direction and operational improvement projects.

In 2014, Johnson returned to Norton Healthcare as the Director of Operations for Norton Medical Group, overseeing multiple primary care and specialty practices. Craig then held the position of System Vice President of Service & Growth and currently serves as the Vice President of Operations.

Throughout their career, Johnson has demonstrated expertise in operational improvement, patient access, and electronic medical record implementation.

Craig Johnson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Louisville from 2000 to 2004. Craig later pursued a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Kentucky from 2006 to 2008.
