Matthew P. Ayers

Matthew P. Ayers was named to his current role on Feb. 7, 2014, after serving as system vice president, surgical and orthopedic services, for Norton Healthcare. Ayers previously served in various roles over 10 years with Norton Medical Group, where he gained experience in strategic planning, financial management, compliance and licensure, physician recruitment, contract negotiation and management, construction project oversight and the daily operations of physician practices. In his current role, Ayers is responsible for providing operational leadership for Norton Hospital, Norton Healthcare’s original hospital.

A native of Evansville, Indiana, Ayers earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health care administration from Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana University, Bloomington.
