Andrew Goodwin, CHCIO has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of Information Technology. Andrew is currently serving as the Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Norway Savings Bank since June 2023. Prior to this, Andrew held the position of System VP, Technology and Information Security at Covenant Health from October 2020 to November 2022.

Before their time at Covenant Health, Andrew was the Chief Information Officer at Harbin Clinic from March 2015 to October 2020. Andrew was responsible for leading the Information Technology Systems (ITS) functions and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of IT operations and services.

From August 2010 to November 2014, Andrew served as the Chief Information Officer | Vice President at Georgia Hospital Association. During their tenure, they transformed the IT organization into a strategic business partner and managed vendor relationships while improving enterprise performance through technology.

Andrew also held the role of Vice President Information Technology | CIO at University General Hospital Systems from July 2006 to August 2010. Andrew'sresponsibilities included overseeing the development and secure operation of the organization's IT infrastructure.

Prior to this, Andrew worked as a Senior Consultant (Healthcare IT) at Siemens Medical Solutions from May 2005 to July 2006. Andrew managed large-scale projects and played a key role in executing IT system replacement initiatives.

Andrew started their career as the Manager, Information Technology/HIS at St Joseph Hospital from August 2003 to May 2005. Andrew led the Hospital Information Systems Group and successfully completed a major infrastructure and HIS upgrade project within budget and on time.

Before entering the healthcare industry, Andrew worked as a Consultant at Norton Lamb & Co from 2000 to 2003. Andrew provided consultancy services during this period.

Throughout their career, Andrew Goodwin has consistently demonstrated their expertise in IT leadership, strategic planning, cost reduction, vendor management, and project management.

Andrew Goodwin, CHCIO, has a well-rounded education history. In 1992, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Geographic Information Systems at the University of Maine at Orono, which they completed in 1993. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1992, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from the University of Maine at Farmington. Earlier in their academic journey, between 1982 and 1984, Andrew studied Forest Management at the University of Maine. These experiences equipped him with a diverse set of skills and knowledge in fields such as forestry, business administration, computer science, and geographic information systems.

In terms of certifications, Andrew obtained the CHCIO (Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer) certification from CHIME (College of Healthcare Information Management Executives) in March 2012.
