Onur Tan

Onur Tan, PhD, currently serves as Lead Data Consultant at Norwegian, responsible for leading the development of scalable data and analytics engineering and AI workflows that manage billions of annual transactions on an AWS-based platform in the payments department. Prior to this role, Onur Tan was a freelance Data Scientist, leveraging analytical expertise gained through coursework to master Python and big data tools. A Ph.D. candidate and researcher at CTTC, Onur Tan's academic contributions focused on privacy-preserving energy management techniques for smart meters. Additionally, Onur Tan held positions as a visiting researcher at Imperial College London, investigating smart meters and low-power sensors in wireless sensor networks, and as a teaching and research assistant at Bilkent University, conducting research in signal processing. Onur Tan's educational background includes a Ph.D. from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Bilkent University and Middle East Technical University, respectively.
