Amund Vedal is a Machine Learning Research Scientist with experience in various companies such as Modulai, Peltarion, and SINTEF Digital. Amund holds a Master of Science degree in Machine Learning from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Technology from Politecnico di Torino. Amund has worked on projects ranging from unsupervised audio spectrogram compression to applying advanced machine learning models for fish catch weight prediction.

Norsk Regnesentral (The Norwegian Computing Center, NR) is an independent and non-profit private foundation that carries out contract research. Core research areas are statistical modeling, geomodelling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, language technology, digital security, digital inclusion and digital transformation. NR is one of Europe's largest environments in applied statistical modeling. The research institute has 98 employees. For 70 years, the research institute has provided services of public utility services and created value for customers and partners in a wide range of industries; Technology and industry, Finance and insurance, Climate and environment, Natural resources, Ocean, Health, and Society. Our clients are businesses and public enterprises both in Norway and internationally, the EU, and the Research Council of Norway.
