Pierre Lison is a Senior Research Scientist at Norsk Regnesentral since August 2016, focusing on Natural Language Processing (NLP), machine learning, and statistical modelling, while currently leading the CLEANUP and GraphDial projects. In addition to this role, Pierre has been an Associate Professor at the University of Oslo since October 2019, delivering various NLP courses. Previously, Pierre held a postdoctoral position at the University of Oslo from January 2011 to July 2016, working on dialogue modelling for statistical machine translation. Pierre also completed a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Oslo from 2011 to 2014, alongside a Master's degree in Language Science & Technology from Universität des Saarlandes and a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from Université catholique de Louvain. Earlier career experience includes research roles at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI), contributing to projects on adaptive dialogue management and human-robot interaction.
