Leif Olav Saetenes

Leif Olav Saetenes is a seasoned marine claims expert currently serving as Senior Vice President of Marine Claims at Norwegian Hull Club since May 2017, overseeing operations in diverse global regions and specializing in marine claims for various clients. Prior experience includes roles such as Senior Claims Handler and Senior Advisor focused on loss prevention and emergency response at Norwegian Hull Club, QHSE Manager at Norled AS, and Management Consultant at Proactima. Saetenes held senior operational positions at CGG, managing marine acquisition projects across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and started a career in offshore navigation with Multiwave Geophysical Company. Saetenes has an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School and several executive development programs from CEDEP, along with a BSc in Maritime Studies. Early career included significant service as an officer in the Royal Norwegian Navy.
