Jacopo Caridi

Jacopo Caridi serves as the Country Director for Moldova and Romania at the Norwegian Refugee Council since January 2020, overseeing a significant portfolio of approximately 13-14 million USD, a team of 20 expats, and 70 local staff. Previously, Caridi held multiple managerial positions within the Norwegian Refugee Council, including Area Manager for North and South Central Iraq, focusing on operational efficiency, program expansion, and vulnerable community support with annual budgets of 15-16 million USD and 12-15 million USD, respectively. Prior experience includes Area Manager roles at the Danish Refugee Council in Iraq and Yemen, where Caridi successfully scaled programs and managed substantial budgets exceeding 25 million USD. Other roles have included Deputy Country Director at INTERSOS, Humanitarian Projects Coordinator at OXFAM Italy, and emergency training for the Italian Red Cross. Caridi's educational background includes a degree in Development Economics from Universita Firenze.
