Jim Robinson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in housing, land, and property issues in humanitarian contexts. Currently serving as the Global Housing Land and Property Specialist at the Norwegian Refugee Council since June 2020, Jim has previously held roles as a mediation practitioner and trainer at ADR-ODR International Limited and as a liaison for humanitarian diplomacy with ShelterBox. An independent consultant since June 2016, Jim has worked on various conflict and peacebuilding projects for organizations like Transparency International and FAO/UNEP. Academically, Jim holds a PhD in Law, Development, Politics, and Socio-Legal Studies from the University of Bristol, where research focused on UN-Habitat conflict resolution in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Additional educational qualifications include an MSc in Socio-Legal Studies and an MA in International Relations.
