Michelle Delaney

Michelle Delaney is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Director of Communication at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) since October 2022. Previously, Michelle held the position of Senior Media Adviser to the Secretary General at the Norwegian Refugee Council since February 2016. Michelle's extensive background includes roles as a Media Adviser, Communications Officer, and Public Information Officer at the United Nations OCHA from April 2011 to December 2015, as well as a Communications and Coordination Lead for the United Nations from October 2009 to February 2011. Additional experience includes serving as a Media Officer at UNDP, a Publication Manager at Harmonia Publishing, and a Marketing Manager at The Word Travel Guide. Michelle holds a Master's Degree in International Communications and Development from City St George’s, University of London, and a Bachelor of Business Studies with a specialization in marketing from Dublin City University.
