Mark Venables

Mark Venables serves as the Principal Examiner for IGCSE Physics at Pearson since May 2012, where responsibilities include writing exam papers, developing mark schemes, and managing grade boundaries. Concurrently, Mark has been a Teacher and Head of Physics at Norwich School since September 2004, actively promoting Physics in Norfolk. In addition, Mark is a Lead Examiner for A2 Physics with OCR, overseeing the mark scheme for reformed A-level papers. Prior roles include Assistant Principal Examiner at Edexcel & Pearson UK and Head of Curriculum ICT at Haberdashers' Aske's School for Girls. Mark holds a Ph.D. in Elementary Particle Physics from the University of Birmingham and a PGCE in Science: Physics teaching from King's College London.
