Maira Baracho is a Brazilian journalist and news coordinator who has dedicated their career to exploring social issues and advocating for human rights. Maira currently works as a training manager at NOSSAS, a Brazilian organization that works to end violence against women.

Baracho began their career as a reporter for the Diario de Pernambuco, one of Brazil's leading newspapers. The project also developed a manual that included a habeas corpus model for cases like these.

Baracho's work has been widely recognized, and they have received several awards for their reporting, including the prestigious Opas/Fiocruz award for their work on social determinants of health.

Maira Baracho graduated with a degree in Comunicação Social from UNINASSAU. Maira then went on to pursue a career in journalism, working as a journalist for various media outlets.
