David Batstone

President & Co-Founder at Not For Sale

David Batstone is the President and Co-Founder of Not For Sale, an organization dedicated to ending human trafficking and modern-day slavery.

Batstone has a long history of working against injustice. David was a member of the Board of Directors at American Battery Technology Company from October 2020 to February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Hydra Energy, Relocity, Inc., and Haus of Z Fashion Company.

In 2007, Batstone co-founded the Not For Sale Campaign, which later became Not For Sale. The organization works to rescue and rehabilitate victims of human trafficking and help them rebuild their lives.

Just Business, Batstone's first book, was published in 2010. It tells the story of their work with social entrepreneurs around the world who are using business to fight poverty and injustice.

Batstone is a graduate of the University of San Francisco.

David Batstone graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Westmont College. David then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Religion & Culture from the Graduate Theological Union.
