Advisor at Noteworthy AI

Pier LaFarge is the founder and CEO of Sparkfund, a company that combats climate change through healthier buildings. Pier is also a trustee of The Nature Conservancy and an advisor for Noteworthy AI.

Pier has always been interested in environmentalism and sustainability. Pier studied environmental science at Yale University and then worked in the energy service industry for a few years. In 2012, they founded Sparkfund with the mission of helping people save money on their energy bills while also reducing their carbon footprint.

Sparkfund's flagship product is the SparkOS platform, which helps leading brands in the energy service market deliver building infrastructure projects to their customers in a faster, lower cost, and more differentiated way. Sparkfund has been successful in creating value by providing a new channel to allow investment capital to flow into behind-the-meter assets, lowering the total cost of building ownership for end-customers, unlocking new revenue streams by connecting building systems to the grid & ensuring resilience.

In addition to their work with Sparkfund, Pier is also a trustee of The Nature Conservancy, the leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people. Pier is honored to be able to serve in this capacity and help The Nature Conservancy achieve its mission.

Most recently, Pier has joined the advisory board for Noteworthy.ai, a company that delivers a truly innovative and cost effective solution for monitoring critical infrastructure, including utility distribution equipment that has traditionally been inspected by humans in trucks with binoculars and notepads. Noteworthy.ai uses vehicle mounted computer vision and machine learning techniques to dramatically improve the quality and coverage of distribution infrastructure monitoring. In an age of enormous pressure on our grid infrastructure driven by climate change, Noteworthy.ai is a straightforward but critical piece of the infrastructure puzzle.

Pier LaFarge is a leader in the sustainability space who is passionate about finding ways to combat climate change. Pier is making a difference through their work with Sparkfund and The Nature Conservancy and is helping to build a better future for us all.
