Tom Kiely is the current President at Notre Dame Academy. Tom has had a long and varied career in education and management. Tom started their career in 1985 as a manager at Clydes Restaurant Group. Tom then transitioned to education in 1988, where they spent 16 years as a teacher and IB and AP coordinator at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. In 2004, Tom became the principal at Camden Catholic High School, where they served for 8 years. In 2012, Tom left Camden Catholic to become the Director of the Institute for Catholic Leadership at Marquette University. Tom held this position for 7 years before taking their current role as President at Notre Dame Academy.
Tom Kiely earned a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Georgetown University with a focus in public policy and Catholic education. Tom also holds a Doctor of Humane Letters from Mount Saint Mary's University, which is an honorary degree. In addition, they have a Master of Arts in religion and culture from The Catholic University of America. Their undergraduate degree is in English and theology from Georgetown University. Tom Kiely also attended Chaminade HS.
