John Knauer is a Site Director at Notre Dame Mission Volunteers-AmeriCorps since July 2015, where John recruits and leads the AmeriCorps program. Previously, John served as a Health Volunteer at Peace Corps from March 2013 to April 2015, promoting health practices. John also worked as a Project Lead at United Saints Recovery Project and as a Program Assistant at Starfire. John graduated with a degree in Anthropology from the University of Cincinnati in 2010.

Notre Dame Mission Volunteers
Notre Dame Mission Volunteers (NDMV) is a non-profit founded in 1992 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur to promote literacy and education. NDMV places volunteers with communities around the world. In 1995, NDMV partnered with AmeriCorps to form Notre Dame Mission Volunteers – AmeriCorps. Now over 500 AmeriCorps members serve in more than 25 cities each year supporting over 150 local schools and community centers.
