Leo Pontiac

Leo Pontiac has extensive experience in community services, particularly with Native American populations. Since October 2012, Leo has served as an Elders Specialist for the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi, specializing in resource access and client support. Prior to this role, Leo worked as a Supports Coordinator at Native American Community Services from September 2009 to October 2012, focusing on assisting clients in the Grand Rapids area with benefits enrollment and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. Leo's career began at the City of Grand Rapids from September 2000 to August 2009, where various departmental roles were undertaken, including maintenance and receiving. Education includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in History from Grand Valley State University and two associate degrees from Grand Rapids Community College.
