Sylvia Winkel Pettersson

Sylvia Winkel Pettersson has extensive experience in the chemical industry. Sylvia currently works at Nouryon as the Vice President of Engineered Polymers, overseeing global operations in Europe, Asia, North and South America. Sylvia also held the position of Vice President of Expancel, a business line of Nouryon Technology Solutions. Prior to Nouryon, Sylvia worked at Akzo Nobel Chemicals as the Director of Marketing & Sales for Expancel and Pulp & Performance Chemicals. Sylvia also has a background in fine chemicals and separation products, having served as the General Manager for these businesses at AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals. Sylvia's earlier career involved roles in product development, application management, and separation product sales. Sylvia has a strong academic background, having worked as a development engineer at EPFL and as a scientific assistant at Novartis.

Sylvia Winkel Pettersson completed a Value Innovation program at INSEAD in 2012. Sylvia also obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Berne, Switzerland from 1993 to 1996.
