Cad Hoyt is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data science and physics. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at NOV since June 2018, Cad specializes in optimization, predictive maintenance, machine learning, and simulation within the Rig Technologies Data Science division. Previous experience includes working as a Physicist in the R&D Group at Raytheon, focusing on experimental pulsed power and high-power microwave directed energy, as well as conducting research in the Laboratory of Plasma Studies at Cornell University as a Graduate Research Assistant. Cad also held positions as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Sam Houston State University and served in the United States Marine Corps as a vehicle commander. Cad holds a PhD and a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Sam Houston State University.
