Director Of Engineering - ALS & Midstream at NOV

Javier Garcia has over 20 years of work experience in engineering roles. Javier started their career as a Production Engineer at PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. from 1999 to 2003. Javier then worked as a Teaching Assistant at LUZ from 2003 to 2005, where they were responsible for the Solid Mechanics Lab. From 2005 to 2013, they were a Design Engineer at R&M Energy Systems, focusing on product development for PCP applications and tubing wear solutions. Since 2013, Javier has been working at National Oilwell Varco, first as a Design Engineer and then as a Lead Engineer in Canada. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Engineering - ALS & Midstream, where they manage synergies among various engineering groups and supports development and sustaining engineering activities for Artificial Lift Solutions and Midstream Equipment.

Javier Garcia attended Universidad del Zulia from 1993 to 1999, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Javier later pursued further education at the same university from 2003 to 2006, obtaining a Master of Science degree in the same field.
