Martina Medkova

Martina Medkova is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in the development of diagnostic assays and research methodologies within the biotechnology and biomedical fields. Currently serving as Principal Scientist III and Senior Manager at Nova Biomedical since June 2017, Martina has previously held significant positions at Daktari Diagnostics, where notable achievements include the development of a high-sensitivity cardiac troponin assay and leading multiple successful projects related to hepatitis C and infectious diseases. Prior roles include contributions as a Senior Scientist at RainDance Technologies, focusing on droplet-based technologies, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale University School of Medicine emphasizing membrane trafficking, and a Postdoctoral Associate at Northwestern University. Martina earned a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois Chicago and holds a degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague.
