Fcip Blake Knebel

Blake Knebel, FCIP has an extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Blake is currently serving as the Director of Risk Management at Nova Mutual Insurance Company since August 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Insurance Systems Inc. as a Senior Business Analyst from November 2021 to August 2022.

Before that, Blake worked at Nova Mutual Insurance Company as a Business Analyst from March 2020 to October 2021. Prior to joining Nova Mutual, they had a significant tenure at Gore Mutual Insurance, where they held various positions including Business Analyst, Associate Business Analyst, and Associate Claims Advisor from 2015 to 2020.

Blake's career in the insurance industry started at Crawford & Company as a Telephone Adjuster from October 2014 to November 2015. Blake Knebel, FCIP holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, which was obtained from 2010 to 2015. In 2013, they participated in an exchange program at LIUC - Università Cattaneo, focusing on International Business. Additionally, in 2014, they completed another exchange program at the University of Macau, specializing in Management.

Blake Knebel has obtained several professional certifications throughout their career. Blake became a Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional from the Insurance Institute of Canada in June 2021 and previously earned the Chartered Insurance Professional designation in October 2016. Blake also holds a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance, which they received in August 2022. In November 2021, they completed the Condominium Director Training program offered by the Condominium Authority of Ontario. Furthermore, they became a RIMS Professional Member through the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. in March 2023. In terms of first aid training, they obtained the Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED (Level C) certification from Heart & Stroke in August 2020.
