Heather Casavechia, MPA, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Heather is currently working as the Director of Corporate Affairs at the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Manager of Privacy & Confidentiality at Deloitte from January 2023 to June 2023. From July 2019 to January 2023, Heather worked as a Privacy Officer at Dalhousie University.
Earlier in their career, Heather held multiple positions at the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation. Heather was a Policy & Privacy Analyst from August 2018 to July 2019, a Digital Communications Specialist from May 2012 to September 2018, and a Business Systems Analyst from June 2010 to May 2012. Prior to joining the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, they worked as a C4ISR Application Analyst for the Marine Security Operations Centre Project at Valcom Consulting Inc. from September 2007 to June 2010.
Heather also has experience working at the Halifax Port Authority, where they served as a Security Projects Coordinator in an unspecified time frame and as a Program Coordinator for Environmental Management Systems from an undisclosed time in 2005 to an undisclosed time in 2006.
Heather Casavechia, MPA has an extensive education history. In 2002, they began their undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons) in Sociology & Psychology. Heather successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2007.
Following their undergraduate studies, Heather sought to enhance their credentials in the field of Public Relations. From 2013 to 2015, they attended Ryerson University, where they obtained a Public Relations Certificate. This program provided their with specialized knowledge and skills in the area of Public Relations.
In their pursuit of professional advancement and a more comprehensive understanding of management, Heather enrolled in Dalhousie University once again. It is unclear when they began their Master's in Public Administration program, but it is known that they are expected to graduate in 2021. Through this program, Heather is gaining a broader understanding of management principles and practices, which will likely enhance their career opportunities and effectiveness in their chosen field.
