Kristi Messer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in academia and nonprofit leadership. Currently serving as the Assistant Dean of Bachelor Programs and Associate Professor at Nova Southeastern University's College of Osteopathic Medicine since 2010, Kristi is responsible for the development and evaluation of undergraduate programs, collaborating on strategic growth initiatives. Kristi also holds positions as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at AbleTo Inc. and as President and CEO of On My Own, Corp., a nonprofit dedicated to supporting adults with disabilities. Previous roles include disaster response trainer for health facilities at the Florida Association of Community Health Centers and Program Director for the Special Olympics Health Community Program. Kristi’s educational background includes a Doctorate in Health Sciences and multiple advanced degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, emphasizing public health and social work.
