Tom West

Tom West has extensive experience in the field of Information Technology. Tom is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Nova Southeastern University since March 2011. In this role, they provide strategic leadership and direction for the university's IT division.

Prior to their current position, Tom worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Health Choice Network from October 2009 to February 2011. Tom was responsible for developing strategic and tactical plans for all global IT departments.

Before that, Tom served as the Chief Information Officer at Kaplan Higher Education from August 2004 to August 2009. Tom played a crucial role in the company's growth strategy, overseeing a team of leaders and a significant number of employees.

Tom also held the position of Vice President of Global R&D and Corporate IT at Pfizer from an unknown start year to 2004. In this role, they created technology roadmaps and IT strategies for the company.

Prior to Pfizer, Tom worked at Citicorp as the VP CIO for Latin America from an unknown start year to 2001. Tom was responsible for managing IT employees across multiple countries and implementing a new technology vision.

At General Electric, Tom held various roles from 1985 to 1998. Tom served as the Sr Director for the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions, where they managed IT capabilities for the company's global employees. Tom also worked as a Regional Director, overseeing the planning and maintenance of computer systems and networks.

Throughout their career, Tom has gained experience in areas such as technology strategy, leadership, team management, and infrastructure planning.

Tom West earned their MBA in Business Finance from the Florida Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1989. Prior to that, they studied Engineering with a focus on Computers at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 1976 to 1979. Additionally, they completed an Executive Leadership Program at Crotonville Alumni and attended a similar program at Harvard University.
