Thomas Sjöman

Thomas Sjöman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Thomas began their career at Ericsson as a Systems Developer, where they were responsible for systems development and maintenance in a web environment. Thomas also handled the integration of a local distribution solution with a global SAP solution and served as an IS/IT team lead for the regional implementation of Ericsson's global SAP solution.

After their time at Ericsson, Thomas worked at IBM as a SAP Development Consultant. Thomas was involved in systems development, integration, and support for customers with SAP installations. Thomas developed interfaces for SAP systems, maintained critical programs, and provided technical support.

Next, Thomas joined Nobel Biocare, where they held multiple roles including SAP Systems Developer and Systems Integration, Development & Operation Manager. Thomas was responsible for SAP systems development in an ABAP environment, systems integration using SAP PI/XI, and day-to-day operations of the global ERP systems environment. Thomas also managed the outsourcing relationship with a partner handling IT infrastructure and SAP Basis.

Following their tenure at Nobel Biocare, Thomas worked at DB Schenker as an Integration Service Manager. Thomas was responsible for integration as a service for the North Europe region, including internal and external integration, business-to-business integration, and application-to-application integration.

Thomas then moved to SKF Group, where they served as the SAP Technical Operations Lead. Thomas led a team responsible for the design, set-up, monitoring, and support of SKF's global SAP systems landscape. Their main focus was ensuring the integrity, performance, and operability of the SAP systems.

Currently, Thomas is employed at Novacura. Thomas started as a Technical Presales Architect, where they acted as a subject matter expert for SAP systems, supporting sales, marketing, and product development. Thomas also led the Application Architecture team. Thomas then transitioned into the role of CIO, where they oversee IT operations, information security, and compliance, with a focus on providing an efficient and secure IT environment for employees.

Throughout their career, Thomas has demonstrated expertise in IT operations, information security, systems development, integration, and SAP. Thomas has experience in leading teams, managing outsourcing relationships, and implementing global ERP solutions.

Thomas Sjöman began their education in 1994 at University West where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Science. Thomas studied at this institution until 2000. In September 2010, they also obtained an additional certification in ITIL v3 foundation from the Examination Institute for Information Science, EXIN.
