Mohammad Assefi

Mohammad Assefi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Mohammad is currently serving as the Head of Division at Novalith since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Novalith from January 2022 to January 2023. Mohammad also holds a position on the Advisory Board at Mineral Recovery Research Center (MRRC) in Edith Cowan University since November 2022.

In the past, Mohammad worked as an R&D Scientist at Ceramisphere Pty Limited from July 2020 to December 2021. Mohammad was also a Research Assistant at UNSW for four years from 2016 to 2020. Mohammad gained international experience as a Visiting Scholar at Chalmers University of Technology in 2019. Before their research career, Mohammad founded and served as the CEO of Vakonesh Sanat Part Co. from June 2012 to December 2013.

Mohammad Assefi holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering, which they obtained from UNSW between 2016 and 2019. Prior to their doctoral studies, they earned a Master's degree in Chemistry from Isfahan University of Technology. Additionally, they completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.Sc.) in Applied Chemistry at the University of Isfahan.
