Uttam Mittal

Uttam Mittal is a Research Scientist at Novalith since February 2023, with a strong background in materials science. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at UNSW from August 2019 to February 2023, focusing on high-performance materials for advanced battery chemistries and solid-state synthesis of rare-earth tungstates. Uttam has also led projects on advanced metal-ceramic composites and optimized electrolyte components for zinc batteries. Previous roles involve a research internship at the University of Duisburg-Essen, where novel 2D materials were developed, and an industrial internship at Ahlstrom-Munksjö, which enhanced production processes and quality control. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Materials Science from UNSW, an MS in Materials Science from UNSW, and a BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
