Christy Spivey

Christy Spivey, RN, BSN, MBA, NE-BC, FACHE, serves as the Chief Nursing Officer at Novant Health since August 2022, overseeing all nursing practices, including emergency medicine, to ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Previously, Christy held various senior leadership roles at Novant Health, including Senior Director of Nursing Community Hospitals and Senior Director of Nursing Coastal Market Emergency Services. Christy has extensive experience from New Hanover Regional Medical Center, where responsibilities included Administrator of Regional Services and Administrator of Emergency Services, focusing on strategic clinical alignment and quality care. Educationally, Christy holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, an MBA from Kennedy-Western University, and is currently engaged in advanced executive education at The Wharton School.
