Daniel Dietrich

Daniel Dietrich has extensive experience in operations and risk management within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Global Head of Risk, Resilience & Insights at Novartis, Daniel leads the management of strategic and operational risks for a portfolio of over 300 clinical trials. In previous roles at Novartis, Daniel held senior positions including VP of External Development Operations, where operational and vendor strategies were established, and VP of Global Operations Services, focusing on optimizing clinical trial execution. Daniel also developed a global clinical operations team at Novartis, achieving significant reductions in packaging costs and increased study efficiency. Earlier experiences include serving as Associate Director of Operations at Chiron Corporation, where operational excellence was enhanced, and as General Manager/CEO of LifeSpring Nutrition, where substantial cost reductions and profitability were achieved. Daniel began a career at Johnson Controls Automotive, leading the launch of several automotive programs. Educationally, Daniel holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado.
