Jessica Viscomi

Jessica Viscomi is a Senior Scientist at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) since May 2017, focusing on the expression, purification, and crystallization of challenging protein targets for drug development. Prior to this role, Jessica was a Structural Biology Research Associate at Vitae Pharmaceuticals, Inc., an Allergan affiliate, from August 2016 to May 2017. Jessica's earlier experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the East Carolina University Diabetes and Obesity Institute from June 2013 to June 2016, where research centered around the role of transglutaminase 2 in neurodegenerative diseases. Jessica holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with an emphasis on Biochemistry from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
